Dew Kim

Dew Kim (b.1985) explores the meaning of beings excluded and discarded from the world moving towards normality, and the intense impulsive energy generated there. He also visualizes the queer narrative through the process of transforming the body by objectifying himself, and attempts to break the boundaries of the social structure and binary thinking.

Dew Kim has held solo exhibitions at Fragment Gallery, Moscow, out_sight, Seoul, TEMI Artist Residency, Daejeon, and Archive Bomm, Seoul. He has also exhibited work at the MMCA, Seoul, Daegu Arts Museum, Daegu, Para Site, Hong Kong, Galerie du Monde, Hong Kong, ALT Space Loop, Seoul, Ilmin Museum of Art, Seoul, VBKÖ, Vienna, ICA, London, Haus am Lützowplatz, Berlin, and Grey Projects, Singapore.

듀킴 (B.1985)은 정상성을 향해 나아가는 세상에서 배제되고 버려진 존재의 의미와 거기서 발생하는 강렬한 충동적 에너지를 탐구한다. 또한 자신을 대상화하여 신체를 변모시키는 과정을 통해 퀴어 서사를 시각화하고, 사회 구조와 이분법적 사고의 경계를 허무는 시도를 한다.

듀킴은 모스크바 Fragment Gallery, 서울 out_sight, 대전 TEMI 아티스트 레지던시, 서울 Archive Bomm에서 개인전을 진행하였으며, 서울 국립현대미술관, 대구 대구미술관, 홍콩 Para Site, 홍콩 Galerie du Monde, 서울 ALT Space Loop, 서울 일민미술관, 비엔나 VBKÖ, 런던 ICA, 베를린 Haus am Lützowplatz, 싱가포르 Grey Projects 의 단체전에 참여하였다.
