Huh Suyon (B.1993) has been engaged in artistic endeavors that reveal a critical consciousness regarding the contradictory and dualistic aspects she encounters as a member of society. Her work explores the irony of social issues contrary to commonly shared beliefs and touches upon the ambivalence felt by individuals living in contemporary society, where they experience a sense of estrangement from society as they are subordinated to it. She explores the emotion of anxiety, which is rooted in the distortion of the unseen reality and underlying aspects of life, through painting and three-dimensional works.

Huh Suyon studied Oriental Painting at Ewha Womans University, College of Fine Arts. Her solo exhibitions include Insecure MS. KIM (2022, Oksangfactory), FOLLOW THE RABBIT (2021, FAS), and great exhibition 2019: Retrieve, Recycle, Revive (2019, G Gallery). She has also participated in group exhibitions such as Untalely (2023, Tabularasa Gallery), To be anything, To be nothing (2023, Post Territory Ujeongguk), Temporary Landing (2022, TINC), and The Long Now (2021, d/p), amongst many others. Her works are held in the Art Bank of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art and numerous private collections.
