American artist Jason REVOK (B.1977) is known for his minimalistic paintings that incorporate graffiti elements into geometric contexts. REVOK creates his own tools, such as attaching cans of spray paint to large, wooden spirographs or long linear machines. The calculated and balanced works are at times disrupted by human mistakes and glitches. However, the artist accepts these as natural components of his work that add unique and personal touches to each piece.
Jason REVOK is a member of Los Angeles Street Art collectives Seventh Letter and the Mad Society Kings, and has participated in the Detroit Beautification Project, assisting in the revitalization of areas in Detroit. REVOK has also presented his works at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, and the Pasadena Museum of California Art.
