Kim Sangso (B. 1996) examines the scalability and sustainability of painting through the exploration of the components of material painting. Kim regards painting as something more than just images mixed in a sea of photos and films, but a genre of rich history as an art that predates all others. His work reveals his concerns and thoughts regarding the future of painting.
Kim Sangso graduated from Hongik University's Department of Painting and is pursuing a master's degree in Fine Art at the Seoul National University of Science and Technology. He was the selected artist of G Gallery’s 2022 Great Exhibition program and has participated in group shows at PS Sarubia, Art Space Hyeong, and EveryArt.
김상소(B. 1996)는 작가는 회화의 확장성과 지속 가능성을 물질회화의 구성요소에 대한 탐구를 통해 살펴본다. 사진, 영화와 같은 현존하는 많은 이미지들 중 하나로서의 회화가 아닌, 이들보다 선재하는 역사의 일부로서 회화의 존재를 살피고, 미래에 존재할 회화에 대한 고민을 지속한다.
김상소는 홍익대학교 회화과를 졸업하고, 현재 서울과학기술대학교에서 조형예술전공으로 석사과정을 밟고 있다. 2022년 G Gallery의 Great Exhibition 작가로 선정되었으며, PS 사루비아, 공간형, 에브리아트에서 단체전을 진행했다.
