Seoul-born Moon Isaac (B. 1986) studied sculpture at Kookmin University, where he received his BFA and MFA. By reinterpreting the concept of modeling, Moon Isaac questions contemporary visuality, objects, and the human experience of interacting with them. Moon regards modeling as more than just sculpting with clay but an act of exploring the existence placed between images and objects through experimentation with addition and plasticity. From the early stages of his work, Moon has used synthetic resin, which allows immediate production processes and freedom in plasticity, as his main material. Especially through the pandemic, his interest in the intermediate zone between images and objects has expanded to explore the boundary between the formability of soil, and objecthood in daily life. His current work focuses on experimenting with shaping ceramics with everyday soil.

Moon Issac has held solo shows such as 《Rock&Roll》(Museumhead, 2022), 《Beam Me Up!》(Kumho Museum of Art, 2021), 《CLONE TECHNIQUE : SEEKING ELIXIR》(Factory2, 2019). He has also participated in a number of group shows, including 《The 23rd SONGEUN Art Award》(SONGEUN, 2023), 《Formula》(Primary Practice, 2023), 《Sculptural Impulse》(Buk-Seoul Museum of Art, 2022), 《Prime Monument》(N/A, 2021), 《Take me Home》(Platform-L Contemporary Art Center, 2019), and 《Polygon Flash OBT》(Insa Art Space, 2018)

《Rock&Roll》(뮤지엄헤드, 2022), 《Beam Me Up!》(금호미술관, 2021), 《분신술 : 서불과차》(팩토리2, 2019) 등의 개인전과 《송은미술대상》(송은, 2023), 《포뮬라》(Primary Practice, 2023), 《조각 충동》(북서울시립미술관, 2022), 《Prime Monument》(N/A, 2021), 《Take me Home》(플랫폼엘 컨템포러리 아트센터, 2019), 《폴리곤 플래시 OBT》(인사미술공간, 2018)등 다수의 단체전에 참여했다.
